Virtual Friendship

I hate to say this but I am almost done with my virtual friendships. You can add tone to an email, you can add gestures and feelings to it?but I don?t want to do this anymore. My email days are gone. I want to have friends who I can go places with, who I can go to movies with, who can sit there and talk to me or argue with me for hours. Then we can email each other to share all the other experiences that can?t be conveyed through a non-virtual relationship. I keep remembering the last part of ?The Old Man and the Sea? where the old man dreams about the lions. Email communication looked like a big fish to me in the past three years but all I could take to the land was a huge skeleton. And now I want to walk the non-virtual path and yes...I think I am getting old!
