-Member of engineering team responsible for the design and development of power management software for Linux portable machines.
Responsibilities include:
--Design, debug and test applications, analyze performance and provide quality assurance for multiple environments, including word processing, games and multimedia interactions.
--Execute load testing and benchmarks, write test scripts for automated testing, and troubleshoot performance problems.
--Create test plans, maintain the test environment, write test scripts, document issues and test user interface and functionality.

Senior Engineer
--Member of Firmware Platforms and Appliance Products Engineering team, responsible for a Visual Basic program called FirstView Designer that created graphical user interfaces (GUI) for a Linux-based Internet browser. Also responsible for the back-end customization of the C++/Java browser code.
--Designed and developed FirstWare Builder and FirstWare CD Recovery, two utilities written in C++, C and Assembly language which created and duplicated HPA's (Host Protected Areas) on Hard Disks allowing for data storage and installation of applications in the protected areas.
--Developed and maintained Psetup (PARTIES setup utility) for Protected Area Run Time Interface Extension Services.
--Performed code reviews and added new features to PCDIAG, a Phoenix system diagnostic program written in C++.
--Developed and maintained Phdisk for DOS a Phoenix utility that created a Save-to-Disk partition or file on Hard Disks. Also maintained the Windows version of that product.
--Developed and designed the Intranet site for Phoenix San Jose Product Development team.
--Wrote various white papers and performed scientific research including a research in 1998 on CPU throttling and its impact on the battery consumption of laptops.
--Performed power management benchmarks on various laptops such as Toshiba, Fujitsu and Hitachi.
--Evaluated capabilities of Phoenix ACPI BIOS and other Phoenix products to extend battery life in different OS environments (Windows 98, 95& NT).
--Developed and wrote test scripts to execute test strategies. Presented test methodology to Engineering and Marketing Managers and performed statistical analysis of tests and procedures.
